Joiner Definition

Definition
A joiner is a photo collage, which manipulates the viewers eye, as it is many photos of the same object, that creates a different image.
In the early 1980's, Hockney began  to produce photo collages that he called "joiners", first of polaroid prints and later of 35mm, commercially processed colour prints.
