Reflection is the throwing back by the surface of light or a body. it could also be the throwing back by the heat or sound without absorbing it. Eventhough reflection isn't a formal element, it is an important consideration when framing a composition and establishing the balance.
My Interpretation
Reflection is something that is thrown back by the surface due to light or a body. an example would be the sun light shining on a pond and rebounding off so you are able to see the bushes or plants on the pond, the would be a reflection. Another example would be if you look into a mirror you are able to see yourself which is a reflection.
