Texture is the feel, appearance, or consistency of a surface or a substance.
My Interpretation
The texture of something is the feel of something against the human skin. Additionally texture is also something you are able to see visually, however sometimes a specific amount of light is needed to capture the detail of the amount of texture, this is mainly when it is manmade.
The texture of this leaf shows the depth of how intricate nature truly is.
The texture of the above image shows the specific details that man has created.
